"I can do all things in him who strengthens me" - Philippians 4:13
The Christian life is founded on a relationship with Jesus Christ. In life, this relationship is often tested, both in good times and in bad. When things go our way, our faith can often take a step back as we relish in all that we have and all that we have achieved. On the other hand, when we encounter obstacles, we can turn our backs on God who we perceive has abandoned us. St Paul reminds us in his letter to the Philippians that it is only by the Grace of God that we can endure the extremes of life. This year, you are invited to an amazing few days of prayer and discovery that will inspire you to a deeper relationship with Christ, who will never forsake us and who gives true meaning to who we are and what we do.
Venue: St Vincent's Catholic Church (114 Parmelia Ave, Parmelia WA 6167)

Tim Staples was a fallen-away Souther Baptist who as a teen came back to faith in Christ through the witness of televangelists. During his four-year tour with the US Marine Corps, he became friends with a Marine well-versed in his Catholic Faith who challenged Tim to study Catholicism from Catholic and historical sources. That sparked a two-year search for the truth. Immediately after his tour of duty, Tim attended Jimmy Swaggart Bible College and became a youth minister in an Assembly of God community. He was determined to prove Catholicism wrong, but he studied his way to the last place he thought he would ever end up: the Catholic Church.
