St Paul once wrote, “ I must preach the good news of the Kingdom of God “. He had had an amazing encounter with the Risen Lord which turned his life upside down. He then had to figure out how to hand this experience on to others because he knew that Jesus, the Church and evangelisation were very closely connected.Ever since those heady days of the Church at the beginning, Christians have been so aware of the call of God for them to be witnesses of our faith. However, in each generation, the same question has been asked: How do I share my faith with others? What do I need to do to be ready to be part of the mission of Christ?
Bishop Don will speak on these questions, drawing on his own experience. The Q&A session that will follow may be the chance to share experiences and some insights from the encounters we have had with others.

About Year of Youth 2018 Bishops' Catechesis
At World Youth Day gatherings, the Bishops Catechesis features daily throughout the week and is often a highlight with young people who don’t regularly have the opportunity to hear from Bishops around the world. In this year of youth, we are hosting these Bishops Catechesis sessions to be part of our support for the faith life of young adults locally.
You, the young people are part of the Church in today’s world. As part of the initiative for the Year of Youth, the Apostles of today’s world, the Bishops, call all the young people to come together and be informed about the teachings of Christ. Young people are called to open their hearts to the spiritual transformation given by the Holy Spirit, and be a witness of Christ. From there we are called to be on mission, in being the salt of the earth and light to the world.“Open New Horizons for Spreading Joy: Young People, Faith and Vocational Discernment.”
